The Dawson Creek RCMP responded to 220 calls for service this week.
On August 28th, 2017, at 3:28 PM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a break and enter into a residence located in the Moore Sbdv. A brand new TV, coins, miscellaneous items and a few thousand dollars in old 1950's $50 and $100 bills were missing. A neighbour witnessed two males leave in a black pickup truck. Palm prints were left on a safe that had attempted to be opened and file is still under investigation.
On August 29th, 2017 at 3:45 PM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a possible sex assault. It was reported that 2 males had been sexually assaulted by another male. All parties are known to each other. File is still under investigation.
On August 30th, 2017 at 6:21 PM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a bullet lodged in a wall in a residence located near the Dawson Creek Gun Club. File is still under investigation.
On August 30th, 2017 the Dawson Creek RCMP seized a couple of drug paraphernalia items from a female who was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The female was known to police and the paraphernalia was destroyed.
On August 31st, 2017 at 6:35 AM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a break and enter into a residence located in the area of 3rd St and 108th Ave. It was determined that an X-box was believed to be the only item stolen.
On August 31st, 2017 at 10:35 PM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a white Dodge Ram that had driving through the fence of a residence located in Pouce Coupe. The male driver was seen to exit the vehicle and run away however after a short foot pursuit the male was located and arrested. The male is currently being charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
On September 1st, 2017 at 5:56 AM, the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had been stolen from a parking lot located at 17th St and 108th Ave. The vehicle is described as a grey Dodge 2500, single cab, BC license plate, red slip tank in the back and a chrome tool box behind the slip tank. Patrols were conducted however the vehicle was not located.
On September 2nd, 2017 at 00:20 AM, while conducting routine patrols, Dawson Creek RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the intersection of 103rd Ave and 8th St. The driver was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition for being intoxicated. The driver was issued a 90 day driving prohibition and their vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
On September 2nd, 2017 at 3:20 AM, while conducting routine patrols, Dawson Creek RCMP officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a Chevy Blazer however the occupants of the vehicle failed to stop for police. The officer attended the residence associated to the vehicle and advised that a violation ticket would be issued to the registered owner.
